- Pop. 1,250. In Kingston T., Frontenac C., on L. Ontario at the mouth of Collins Cr. and C. Rd. 33, 11 km. W of Kingston.

- The settlement was named Collinsby and later Collins Bay in honour of deputy surveyor John Collins, who laid out the townsite. Collins Bay Penitentiary is one of 10 prisons in the vicinity.
