  • Pop. 380. In Frontenac C., on Wolfe I. on C. Rds. 95 & 96, 5 km. SE by ferry boat from Kingston.
  • The post office was established in 1845 and named after Mary Hitchcock, described as a 'kindly womens' doctor,' who held the position of postmaster from 1845 until her death in 1877.
  • Wolfe I. was so named in 1792 by Canada's first lieutenant-governor, John Graves Simcoe, to honour Gen. James Wolfe. This Marysville is about 50 km. E of the Marysville near Napanee.
